Yaun Elected Vice President of Tennessee Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics

Jason Yaun, MD, FAAP, associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics in the College of Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, has been elected vice president of the Tennessee Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (TNAAP). He will serve a two-year term.

The organization, which is based in Nashville, is comprised of physicians and specializes in pediatric advocacy for the state of Tennessee. TNAAP members work with legislators and policy makers to ensure the physical, mental, and social welfare of children, their families, and the pediatricians who care for them.

Dr. Yaun has been a member of the TNAAP since 2009. Before being elected vice president, he previously served as a West Tennessee Fellow At-Large (2013-2017) and secretary/treasurer (2018-2019). He has also been the Legislative Committee co-chair since 2016.
