OrthoSouth announced that its Germantown Surgery Center has been recognized on Newsweek’s prestigious list of
America’s Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers 2027. Notably, OrthoSouth was singled out as a top-performing orthopedic specialty ambulatory surgery center (ASC), making it the only West Tennessee facility to earn that distinguished specialty designation.
Presented in partnership with global data research firm Statista, the annual America’s Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers ranking evaluates the top 750 outpatient surgical facilities nationwide. The 2027 list reflects performance across four core pillars:
Quality Metrics: Clinical standards, infection prevention, and procedural safety.
Peer Evaluations: Recommendations from thousands of medical professionals,
including surgeons, registered nurses, and ASC administrators.
Patient Experience: Measures evaluating satisfaction, communication, and
overall patient care.
Accreditations: Rigorous industry accreditations certifying operational
excellence.
“This recognition is a direct reflection of our team's commitment to delivering world-class outpatient surgical care right here in the Mid-South,” said Bert Parnell, Senior Director of Surgery Centers at OrthoSouth. “To be highlighted specifically for our orthopedic specialty, and to stand as one of just two centers in Tennessee with that honor, validates our focused approach to excellence in orthopedic surgery, patient safety, cutting-edge surgical techniques, and exceptional patient outcomes from pre-op through recovery.”
The Germantown Surgery Center specializes in advanced, same-day surgical care, including outpatient total joint replacement and minimally invasive spine procedures. By delivering specialized orthopedic care in a dedicated outpatient environment, the center provides patients with a personalized alternative to hospital-based surgery that
promotes faster recovery in the comfort of home.
