A Hattiesburg Clinic physician has been awarded for outstanding service in the area of pain management. The Southern Pain Society has awarded P. Lynn Bell, DO, a physical medicine and rehabilitation provider, the President’s Distinguished Service Award.
Dr. Bell was recently elected as a member-at-large for the Southern Pain Society, a regional division of the American Pain Society that provides education and training to increase knowledge and skill of pain management professionals. The President’s Award recognizes outstanding and dedicated service to the organization.
Bell received a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Miss. and his medical degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, W.Va. He completed an internship at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Clarksburg, W.Va. and his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas.
He is board-certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation as well as the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners. Dr. Bell is also a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Pain Society.
