The Tennessee Medical Association (TMA) will hold its 36th annual Insurance Workshop from 8 am to 4 pm Tuesday, October 4, at the Holiday Inn University of Memphis, 3700 Central Avenue. Registration will begin at 7 am.

Registration fee, which includes continental breakfast and lunch, is $179 for TMA/TMGMA member employees and $129 for each additional attendee from a TMA/TMGMA member practice. The cost for non-members is $229.
Information will include ways to streamline billing processes and make payments accurately will be offered. Attendees will also have the opportunity to have one-on-one discussions with insurance representatives concerning ways to address claims issues. Topics include:
- Updates that impact how you file claims
- Breaking through the maze of disputes/appeals
- Handling policy and procedural changes
- When, where and how to obtain prior authorizations
- Adjusting to the emerging value-based payment landscape
