Campbell Clinic has welcomed two international orthopedic physicians for various lengths of study.
Dr. Ara Aivazyan of Armenia, and Dr. Brian Billy Berto Madison of South Sudan, will study alongside surgeons in Memphis to expand their base of orthopedic knowledge and then return to their country to continue to practice medicine later this year.
Aivazyan is Head of Pediatric Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the Scientific Center of Traumatology and Orthopaedics in Yerevan, Armenia. He is training with the Mid-South’s largest team of pediatric orthopods at Campbell Clinic from Oct. 3-7. His visit is part of the AAOS International Scholars Program, which seeks to match orthopaedic surgeons from underserved countries with prominent U.S. orthopedic centers.
Madison is in an orthopedic residency training program at the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Clinic in Moshe, Tanzania. He will be at Campbell Clinic from Oct. 1 through Nov. 13. His visit is part of an international educational exchange through the Campbell Foundation’s Footprints in Motion program
