OR Nurses Nationwide, a Memphis-based healthcare staffing business, is hosting a dedication concert for first responders at the Levitt Shell in May.

The concert, called, "Fearless First," will honor Mid-South nurses, police, firefighters and EMTs. The Stax Music Academy Alumni Band will perform. The show offers free admission and starts at 7:30 p.m. Food trucks will be available on-site.

The concert date – Friday, May 12 – was chosen in celebration of Florence Nightingale's birthday. Nightingdale, born May 12, 1820, is credited with founding modern nursing.

“First responders by definition run toward an event rather than run away,” said Denise Burnett, president and CEO of OR Nurses. “We wanted to take the opportunity to celebrate the devoted first responders in our community who put our lives before theirs, in a family-friendly setting with two of the city’s institutions – the Stax Academy and the Levitt Shell.”
