Perisco Wofford to Lead Bluff City Medical Society

Perisco Wofford, MD, has been installed as president of the Bluff City Medical Society during a recent meeting of the organization. He follows Lanetta Anderson who served as president the past two years.

Other officers are LaTonya Washington, MD, president elect; Corbi Milligan, MD, vice president; Jessica Ruffin, MD, treasurer; Chester Brown, MD, secretary; Cathy Chapman, MD, chaplain; Otis Anderson, MD, parliamentarian; and Janice Cooper, executive assistant.

The Bluff City Medical Society has an impressive history of members who have been or are pioneers, scholars, educators, community and political activists, local, state and national leaders.  It is committed to its community and launching initiatives that address chronic medical conditions prevalent in the African American community and eliminating health disparities.  It represents a base of about 250 physicians.
