Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis has opened a new Electrophysiology Lab (EP Lab) -s part of its expanding Heart and Vascular Center.  Officials at the hospital say the new EP lab offers state-of-the art technology and advanced functionality for the heart and vascular patient.

“Our new EP Lab is part of our ongoing efforts to expand our heart and vascular services for the Memphis community,” said Audrey E. Gregory, Ph.D., CEO of Saint Francis Healthcare.

A hospital spokesperson said the new EP Lab is an Innova system from GE, which offers a comprehensive suite and functionality customized for a wide range of EP procedures.  The floor-mounted system is designed to provide advanced image clarity.  It covers more anatomy and is designed for fewer runs than smaller detectors, enabling efficient use of contrast and dose.
