Neurovascular surgeon Chiu Yuen To, MD, has joined the staff at Saint Francis-Memphis, allowing the hospital to become a Comprehensive Stroke Center. Saint Francis now will be able to provide the specialized care of more complex stroke cases and the management of other neurovascular diseases.
Dr. To becomes Saint Francis Medical Partners' first fellowship-trained neurosurgeon. He specializes in the treatment of cerebrovascular disease and aneurysm including endovascular, open neurosurgical and various spinal conditions utilizing minimally invasive surgical techniques. His proficiency allows for improved post-operative pain control, reduced post-op stays and earlier returns to work resulting in a happier, healthier patient.
As an osteopathic neurosurgeon, Dr. To emphasizes a whole-person approach to treatment and care. He focuses on prevention and tuning into how a patient's lifestyle and environment can impact their wellbeing.
