American Cancer Society Plans April 8 ‘Block Party’

The American Cancer Society will hold a Relay For Life of Memphis on Saturday, April 8, from 2 pm to 9 pm at Tiger Lane next to the Liberty Bowl Stadium.

The event will raise funds and awareness in the fight ageist cancer. Rather than a walk or run, the event will be a family-friendly community block-party featuring events that unite communities across the globe to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and take action for lifesaving change.

In addition to live local music, there will be a “Memphis’ Got Talent” show, a Blues City shopping area, a Bluff City beer station hosted by the Liberty Bowl, a silent auction, and other activities for all ages, includi9ng a number of food items.

The event is free to the public, but attendees are encouraged to make a donation at or before the event.
